Just the mere mention of the word makes many online business owners gag.
I know this because a lot of my clients HATE selling. They’d rather spend their time working with clients than chasing them down.
Women business owners are especially at risk here. As women, we feel like we need to do all the things, work extra hard, and HUSTLE to make our money. At least, that’s what society has conditioned us to believe.
But making sales (and increasing profits) is a necessary part of business.
So how do we change our feelings about sales?
What if our ideal clients consistently flowed into our business? And what if our only job was to educate them on how our product or service could help solve their problem? That type of approach would allow us to increase our profits AND grow our businesses without working nonstop.
All of this is totally possible when you have an ALIGNED SALES SYSTEM.
Wondering what that is? It’s a method of bringing your ideal clients into your business consistently in a way that feels good to you and doesn’t require you to devote all of your time to work.
And hey, let’s not gloss over that part about having an approach that’s “good” to you. If your sales activities feel like a chore, that bad juju will come through in your communication with your prospective clients or customers. They’ll sense that negativity from a mile away and will be much less likely to buy your solution.
Ok, so let’s get down to details: how do you set up an aligned sales system?
Long before you first try to sell your product or service, you need to THINK. Think about what you want your business to look like and how you want it to evolve. Ask yourself questions like:
- How do I want to run my day?
- How do I want to live my life?
- What kind of work/life balance would make me happy?
- What do I want to earn yearly?
- How many days do I want to work out of the year?
- How do I want to show up in my business?
Taking the time to define HOW you want to operate your business sets you up with a formula for reaching your goals. When you create this aligned sales system, along with doing the mindset work for receiving large amounts of money, you’re sparking your energy to match your desires. And that positive energy will come across loud and clear to your prospective customers or clients.
Without taking the time to think through these foundational concepts, we’re more likely to be overwhelmed with tasks and get stuck in hamster-wheel mode.
And didn’t we jump the 9-5 ship to avoid that hamster wheel in the first place?
Here’s an example I see a lot: Entrepreneurs often find themselves selling low-ticket offers. Although these solutions can deliver small wins to their customer or client, they don’t have the same impact as the business-changing offers that provide a more significant transformation. So these business owners constantly need to seek out new clients for an offer that isn’t even providing any sustainability to their business.
A low-ticket offer like that puts your customers in a one-and-done scenario. Once they get that small result, they’re going to move on to needing the next-level result as their businesses evolve.

When I started my events business, I got stuck in the loop of constantly creating new offers to keep bringing in clients. It was exhausting!
Not to mention that I hadn’t THOUGHT about what I wanted my business to look like.
- I didn’t know who I was targeting.
- I didn’t have an idea of how to attract clients to me without chasing them. I believed I had to go after them instead of having them come to me.
- I didn’t have a system to follow up with the clients who had already worked with me in my initial offer.
Setting a strategy that addresses these points has made a tremendous difference in my business.
- I’ve honed in on exactly who I want to work with, so there’s no sifting through people who aren’t right for what I’m offering.
- People can book a call with me or sign up for my offers any time that I open them; those systems are set up and work without me needing to constantly tend to them.
- I designed a product suite starting with one offer that provides a foundation and additional offers that guide business owners through all the growth phases.
This approach has allowed me to become a sales master in more than one business and with multiple offers at the same time. Not only did I just have a successful launch for my SOLD OUT CONFIDENCE course starting next week (by the way, if you missed out and want to sneak in, message me!), I also sold my one-on-one coaching package and Flo Jam Event tickets.
This aligned sales system strategy doesn’t work for only me; I’ve shared it with my clients, and they’ve had fabulous results.
One client even replaced her 9-5 income within three months of us working together! Once she implemented the aligned sales process we devised, her sales skyrocketed.
But having an aligned sales system is just one piece of the business-building puzzle. Entrepreneurs also benefit from magnifying their confidence, mastering their pricing, and strengthening their money mindset. When all of those elements are working together, clients will be attracted to you, and your business will flow much more easily.
In fact, if you did all of that work, you would be amazed at what you could actually receive in this world and how much money you could make.
And the more money we can be empowered to make, the more we can serve on an even higher level. Who wouldn’t want to be part of that?
