Do I need a Visa to Travel to Tanzania?

Yes! However, you will be able to get your visa upon entry to the country. No need to do anything ahead of time. The cost of the Visa is around $50-$100 depending on your country of origin.

What airport am I flying in and out of?

Great question! Your journey starts and ends at the Mt. Kilimanjaro airport. This is a well traveled destination and flights from Washington, D.C or Amsterdam travel there frequently. We recommend Ethiopian Airlines, Dutch Airlines- KLM, or Delta. RT Flights from Washington D.C can range from $800-1500 depending on your booking time.

What should I pack for the Safari?

We will send a detailed packing list before our travel dates so that you are well prepared for this trip and have enough time to purchase any items you may not already have. It will be hot in November during the time we are traveling. Pack items for sun exposure that will keep you cool during the days we are on Safari. We recommend linen or cotton fabric that is loose fitting. We also recommend a hat that will block the sun around all sides, UV protected sun glasses, hiking boots or shoes, and light jacket to keep you warm during the cool nights. Remember to pack your bathing suite!

What Tribes are we spending time with?

The two tribes we will get to spend time with are the Datoga Tribe, one of Africa's only remaining hunter gatherer tribes, known for their metalworking, cattle herding, and warrior tradition, and the Maasai Tribe. The Maasai are one of the few tribes who have retained most of their traditions, lifestyle, and lore. They are known for their bright red robes, jumping, and intricate jewelry.

What meals are included?

ALL meals are included throughout the duration of your trip, Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner. We will have access to a private chef along our journey as well as we will be stopping at fine dining restaurants and local favorites. Every dietary restriction will be catered to. Before we depart, we will request your dietary needs and ensure you are taken care of during your time with us.

Do I need Travel Insurance or Vaccines to travel to Tanzania?

We suggest getting travel insurance for peace of mind, however it is not required as long as your insurance covers any overseas travel. You do not any vaccines to travel to Tanzania. No vaccines are required to enter the country.
